The 2,996 Project

There are just a few days left until September 11th, 2006, the five year anniversary of the day that Muslims tried to punish the United States for being democratic, free, Judeo-Christian, and technologically and socially evolved.

On September 11, 2006, tributes to the victims of 9/11 will be published throughout the blogosphere as part of the 2,996 Project.

If you aren’t aware of the 2,996 Project, here is some information about it:

2,996 is a tribute to the victims of 9/11.

On September 11, 2006, 2,996 bloggers will join together for a tribute to the victims of 9/11.

Each person will pay tribute to a single victim.

We will honor them by remembering their lives, and not by remembering their murderers.

There are approximately 700 names of the dead who do not have an assigned tribute. If you would like to participate, you can sign up here.

I am proud to be honoring Welles Remy Crowther and I will be posting more about him on 9/11/2006:

Welles Remy Crowther, age 24.
Place killed: World Trade Center. Resident of Upper Nyack, N.Y. (USA).

Welles Remy Crowther will be honored by Smooth at the blog Smooth Stone. This was the 773th blogger to sign up for the 2,996 Tribute project.
