I was always reluctant to feel real joy and delight that Iraqis had democracy and freedom. In fact, I specifically chose to not read any Iraqi blogs. I didn’t want to get hurt or dissappointed. I remained suspicious, waiting for the “shoe to drop”, but my reticence never went quite as deep as someone I knew who warned me months ago, “Let’s face it, they are Arabs after all.”Unfortunately, after reading this article I have to congratulate myself on my instincts. It’s quite evident that the Iraqis have other issues they need to work out in addition to their penchant for blowing up their fellow countrymen:Folks, when oh when will the Arab world evolve?
