StopDivestment.org is an initiative of Stand for Israel, a project of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.The support of these people is phenomenal. Here they’re trying to raise $25,000 in the next 72 hours for a concerted and publicized effort to influence the United Church of Christ’s vote on divestment this weekend. And I have no doubt that they’ll do it. A Christian lady I know raised $10,000 in just the Boulder area … and sent it to Gush Katif. And check this out: “A gift of $50 will send a message to the world that Christians will no longer allow God’s people to be attacked by liberal hatemongers.”Bible-believing Christians put most Jews to shame in their unabashed support for us and for Israel. We need to listen to, appreciate, and join in the efforts of these people. The world is changing faster than you can say “the Zionist entity.” Just look around – nobody else is taking up for us, but nobody. If you’ve got a chip on your shoulder about evangelical Christians, now’s a good time to get rid of it.
