Via Ottawa Citizen:
Ottawa university instructor Hassan Diab, 54, has been arrested for the terrorist bombing of a Paris synagogue in 1980. The Oct. 3, 1980, bombing of the Copernic Road synagogue was triggered by high explosives planted in the saddlebags of a parked motorcycle outside the building. The blast killed three Frenchmen and a young Israeli woman. France’s Le Figaro reported last fall that French authorities suspect Diab was the leader of the team responsible for the attack. The French arrest warrant executed on Thursday accuses him of making and planting the bomb.
