The proposed second Palestinian state is to have “territorial continuity” linking Gaza with Judea and Samaria. The Palestinians demand that any territory Israel keeps e.g. Ariel and Ma’ale Adumim be compensated with Israeli territory, not in its southern Negev but from its center. Thus at a mimimum this is what a proposed second Palestinian state would look like. Then will come the rest of the demands – the Arabs of the Galilee and those of the Negev be allowed to join – with their territory – this second Palestinian state. In 1974 Yasir Arafat, head of the PLO and his lieutenants, which included Mahmoud Abbas (current PA President) declared a policy of “liberating all of Palestine (i.e. Israel) in stages. That policy is coming to pass.
