Reported by Israel Line, Friday, June 19
Israir launched on Thursday its new New York route, GLOBES reported. Starting Saturday night, Israir will operate flights three times a week, on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, using a Boeing 767-300. Flights will leave Ben Gurion Airport and JFK Airport in New York.
Israir is also offering follow-on flights to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. The flights will be the first charters between Israel and New York. El Al is facing competition from an Israeli airline on the New York route for the first time.
