From 7.2 Million People Living in Israel:
Ahead of the Jewish New Year, a Central Bureau of Statistics report released Monday reveals that at the end of 2006, Israel had 7,116,700 million citizens – 5,393,400 Jews (76%), 1,413,300 Arabs (20%), and 309,900 “other” citizens. The average life expectancy in 2006 was 78.5 years for men and 82.2 years for women.
